Speaking at the opening ceremony of the "Women in STEM" festival, at the Port Art Center located in the building of Baku Sea Station, Dr Taleh Ziyadov, Director General of the Port of Baku welcomed all the guests as the host organization and highlighted the port’s commitments towards women empowerment. He also mentioned that according to the international reports, the women representation in the ports operations is 1.2%, and this number in the Port of Baku is 7%, however the port is aimed to increase # of female employees working in the Port to 20% by 2030.

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Mr. Rashad Nabiyev and Minister of Science and Education Mr Emin Amrullayev, as well as successful women in various fields spoke at the panel discussions of the festival organized by QadinFest and "Women in Tech" platforms. At the same time, the festival hosted a job fair for students, various master classes on STEM for children.
