According to the country report, which was obtained through the InCites analytical platform of Clarivate and covers the years 2023–2025, Western Caspian University ranks first among the leading higher education institutions in terms of scientific research activity in Web of Science indexed journals.

The report confirms that Western Caspian University, among the institutions that have made major scientific contributions in recent years, has strengthened its position in the country's scientific ecosystem and its increasing visibility in international scientific databases. These indicators form a solid basis for the university to further advance in regional and international scientific rankings in the coming years.

Looking at the subject spectrum, it is observed that Western Caspian University's research mainly covers priority areas such as engineering, energy, environment, materials science, and applied sciences.

The scientific publications produced within the framework of the university's international cooperation were mainly carried out in collaboration with leading scientific research and higher education institutions in Turkey, South Korea, Uzbekistan, Great Britain, the United States of America, the United Arab Emirates and other countries.
