An international scientific conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkology Congress will be held in Baku on June 29–30. The conference, titled “Teaching Turkic Languages, Literatures, and History in the Context of Contemporary Challenges,” will bring together leading scholars and experts from across the Turkic world.

The event is organized within the framework of the “Week of the Turkic World,” commemorating the centenary of the First Turkology Congress. The organizers include the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, Baku State University (BSU), TURKSOY, Turkic Academy, Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, and Turkish Language Association.

In addition to prominent Azerbaijani scholars, the conference is expected to welcome invited Turkologists, official representatives of Turkic states, public and political figures, as well as representatives of the academic, educational, and cultural communities.

The opening ceremony and panel sessions will take place on June 29 at the Heydar Aliyev Center, while sectional meetings will be held on June 30 at Baku State University.
