Deputy Minister Attends International Transport Forum in Bishkek

The International Transport Forum titled “Kyrgyzstan – Regional Hub: Connecting Continents” was held in Bishkek.

Azerbaijan was represented at the event by a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Javid Gurbanov.

Within the framework of the forum, the 9th Meeting of Ministers of Transport of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) was held. The event featured discussions on changes in international logistics chains, the growing importance of alternative transport routes, and the expansion of cooperation along the Middle Corridor (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route).

It was noted that the Middle Corridor plays a key role in ensuring sustainable and diversified transport connectivity between regions. Additionally, the importance of simplifying administrative procedures, harmonizing requirements, and removing existing infrastructure barriers was emphasized to enhance the corridor’s efficiency and competitiveness.

As part of the visit, a bilateral meeting was also held with Türkiye’s Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Durmuş Ünüvar, during which views were exchanged on issues of mutual cooperation.
