Baku Higher Oil School (BHOS) was successfully represented with its own stand at the “Study in Azerbaijan” education exhibition, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The BHOS stand attracted great interest from numerous visitors.
Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev and Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Yeshenkulov visited the BHOS stand.
BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov provided detailed information about Baku Higher Oil School's modern educational programs, advanced laboratory infrastructure, and extensive international cooperation network, emphasizing that the educational process at the university is formed in line with industry requirements and that particular attention is paid to developing students’ practical knowledge and skills.
Elmar Gasimov also participated in the 2nd Forum of Rectors of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijani Universities, held prior to the exhibition. During the forum, which was attended by Minister of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan Emin Amrullayev and Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Baku Higher Oil School and four universities in Kazakhstan.
The memoranda signed between BHOS and ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev, Almaty Technological University, Kazakh National Research Technical University named after K.I. Satbayev, and the Caspian University of Technology and Engineering named after Sh. Yessenov in Kazakhstan provide, among other things, for the development of joint educational programs, mutual exchange of students, faculty members, and researchers, as well as the submission of joint project proposals.
As part of his visit to Kazakhstan, BHOS Rector Elmar Gasimov visited the Kazakh-British Technical University and met with its Rector Maratbek Gabdullin. During the meeting, the sides highlighted the successful cooperation between the two higher education institutions and exchanged their views on further expanding this collaboration.
