Ilahyr Chershenbe Celebrated at BSU

Ilahyr Chershenbe was celebrated at Baku State University (BSU) with festive activities reflecting the spirit of Nowruz.

BSU Rector Elchin Babayev, together with students, lit a traditional bonfire in the university courtyard. Students gathered around the fire, performing the Yalli dance to lively music.

The celebration continued with a concert program organized by the BSU Cultural and Creative Center.

İlahır Çərşənbə (also called Axır Çərşənbə) is the last and most important Tuesday before Nowruz in Azerbaijan. It marks the final stage of preparation for the arrival of spring.
