Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova sent to Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Shalva Papuashvili a letter of condolences on 18 March on the passing of the Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia, eminent religious figure His Holiness Ilia II.
It is stated in the letter that the endeavours of His Holiness Ilia II for the good of Humanity, his contribution to the promotion of peace, solidarity and inter-religious dialogue in the Caucasus and his outstanding services in strengthening the bonds of friendship between our countries and peoples shall always be held in the deepest esteem.
In her letter, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis expresses most profound condolences to the Georgian colleague, Members of the Parliament and the friendly people of Georgia on her own behalf and on behalf of Members of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
