Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to our country Lu Mei on 16 March.
Satisfaction was expressed at the meeting with the advance of the high-level strategic partnership ties between our countries; it was pointed out that the relationship had progressed further having reached its zenith following the state visit of President Ilham Aliyev to the People’s Republic of China last year.
As was remarked during the conversation, the connexions between our parliaments constitute a substantial component of the relationship of the countries; they emphasised the importance of inter-parliamentary co-operation inclusive of promotion of bonds between the parliaments’ friendship groups and committees. Also, perspective opportunities to deepen the relationship further were reviewed.
Furthermore, the co-operation between Azerbaijan and China in international organisations and our countries’ unwavering support for each other’s territorial integrity and sovereignty were high-lit at the meeting.
