At the initiative of the BSU Volunteers organization, Baku State University (BSU) hosted a simulation conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.
BSU Vice-Rector Alish Agamirzayev emphasized that the First Turkological Congress represents a landmark event in the scientific and cultural integration of the Turkic world. He noted that the initiative plays a significant role in preserving and promoting the Turkic language, literature, and shared cultural heritage.
Academician Nizami Jafarov, Head of the Department of General Linguistics at BSU, spoke about the convening of the First Turkological Congress, the participation of prominent public figures, the key issues discussed, including the question of a unified alphabet, and the comparison of the Arabic and Latin scripts.
