The European Union (EU) Delegation to Azerbaijan in partnership with the Embassies of the
EU Member States will organise the “Squares of Europe” photo exhibition within the sixth edition of the “FantazEU” Cultural Heritage Festival.

The Embassies of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, France, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Sweden showcased photos depicting famous and lesser-known squares across Europe that have long served as centers of cultural life, history, and social exchange.

“This is a unique exhibition that brings together arts, architecture and cultural dialogue. Through photography the exhibition highlights the richness and diversity of Europe’s urban heritage. The exhibition is especially timely as it coincides with the "Year of Urban Planning and Architecture" that Azerbaijan marks in 2026. We invite all Azerbaijani residents to visit the exhibition and experience Europe through its grand historical plazas offering a visual journey across the continent”, said EU Ambassador H.E. Marijana Kujundzic.

The “Squares of Europe” photo exhibition will be open to public from 10 February on the first floor of the Crescent Mall, 66 Neftchilar Avenue.

The programme of the FantazEU Cultural Heritage Festival will also include organisation of an exhibition of national costumes and ornaments, live arts workshops, online city tours from EU countries. The Arts Council of Azerbaijan is providing organisational support under a contract financed by the European Union Delegation to Azerbaijan.
