A meeting was held at the State Maritime and Port Agency with Irada Astanova, who serves as a motorman on vessels sailing under the Azerbaijani flag.
On February 5, she scored 97 points in the examination for the watchkeeping engineer qualification organized by the Agency, making history as the first female seafarer in Azerbaijan to earn the right to join the officer cadre.
The participants of the meeting congratulated Irada Astanova on her outstanding result and wished her continued success in her future career. Her choice to pursue the challenging and responsible profession of a seafarer was highly appreciated.
