Azerbaijan constantly contributes to inter-cultural dialogue by hosting such influential events as the UN Alliance of Civilisations Forum, the Baku Global Forum and the Global Summit of Religious Leaders.

Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova made that remark in her speech at the 16th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly held in the capital city of Bahrain, Manama, on 26 January.

According to her, UN recognised as the main global platform of inter-cultural and inter-civilisation dialogue the Global Forum on Intercultural Dialogue held under the aegis of the ‘Baku process’ initiated by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. And the International Parliamentary Conference which the Milli Majlis organised on the sidelines of the 6th Forum in May 2024, it added the ‘parliamentary dimension’ to that dialogue.

Speaker Sahiba Gafarova stressed in her address that Azerbaijan is a steadfast adherent of inter-cultural dialogue.
