Samir Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, met with Ronen Krausz, the Ambassador of the State of Israel to Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the progress and planned activities regarding the issues addressed at the 4th session of the Joint Commission between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the State of Israel, held on November 20 of the previous year.

Information was provided on the activities of the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Center, established in collaboration with Israel’s Technion Institute, as well as the “Vistar” Excellence Center, founded in December of the previous year through the cooperation of the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), the Azerbaijan Space Agency, and Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI).

The meeting also discussed the priority areas on the partnership agenda between Azerbaijan and Israel, including urban mobility, transport digitalization, artificial intelligence, support mechanisms for innovative entrepreneurship and startups, cybersecurity, and the prospects for human capital development activities with digital knowledge and skills.
