Baku is hosting a meeting of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Working Group on Environmental Protection for the Europe and North Atlantic Region.
The event features presentations on ICAO’s environmental strategy and member states’ action plans to reduce emissions, along with discussions on the latest developments in the sector.
The meeting serves as a platform for states and other stakeholders to share experiences in implementing ICAO’s Long-Term Aspirational Goals (LTAG) for environmental protection.
Over the course of the three-day event, discussions will also focus on ICAO initiatives related to carbon offsetting and reduction in international aviation, sustainable aviation fuel strategies, and other key issues.
