The enhancement of the activities in business, investment and trade with Great Britan has been discussed.

Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mikayil Jabbarov has held a meeting with Lord John Alderdice, the United Kingdom’s Trade Envoy to Azerbaijan and Central Asia.

During the meeting, the parties highlighted the expansion of the mutual economic and trade relations. It was noted that there is great potential for strengthening the partnership relations across various directions. The Trade Envoy was provided with information on Azerbaijan’s efficient cooperation with the Asian region. Views were exchanged on the prospects of the joint initiatives.

The parties also explored the priority activity directions of the economic cooperation agenda, as well as the valuable collaboration with UK Export Finance (UKEF), energy transition, the development of human capital, investment opportunities in the Alat Free Economic Zone and industrial zones, and the promotion of the joint activities in business, trade, high technologies and digital transformation.
