Registration has opened for “IT SkillSprint,” an international intensive digital skills training program designed for higher education institutions across the country. The project is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT), the Ministry of Science and Education, the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), the State Agency for Science and Higher Education, and Ironhack, a global tech training provider.
The program aims to enhance students’ knowledge and practical competencies in modern technologies, prepare them for the global labor market, and strengthen collaboration between universities and industry. Additionally, the initiative seeks to introduce global IT education standards within Azerbaijani universities.
The program will cover the tracks “DevOps & Cloud Computing,” “Data & AI,” “Cybersecurity,” and “Web Development.” Training will be delivered in a hybrid format, and international mentors will conduct intensive sessions in Baku at various stages of the program. The bootcamp-style curriculum will enable students to work on real-world projects and build a professional portfolio. Within the framework of the program, participants will also have access to additional development opportunities such as hackathons, career fairs, and networking events. Upon successful completion of the training, students will be awarded a certificate from Ironhack, a globally recognized training provider.
The program is open to students enrolled in the second semester of their third year at higher education institutions who were admitted to university with a score of 400 points or higher. It should be noted that students from any field of study are eligible to participate. The selection process will consist of three stages: registration, a test assessing foundational knowledge, and an interview.
The program will run for a total of six months, from February to July 2026. During this period, the credits earned by participating students will be recognized by their universities. As a result, participants will be exempt from other courses and will be able to fully focus on this training program.
The project is being launched as a pilot initiative, and at this stage, only selected universities will be able to participate.
