As part of the World Telecommunication Development Conference held in Baku (WTDC-25), a meeting was held between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Iraq to coordinate their FM radio broadcasting stations.
The Azerbaijani delegation was represented by officials from the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, the Information and Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA), and the State Administration of Radio Frequencies (SARF).
During the discussions, in line with the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in Baghdad in 2023, the two countries reached an agreement on the frequencies and other technical parameters of existing and planned FM radio broadcasting stations, and a protocol was signed to formalize the agreement.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided to continue cooperation on the issues discussed.
