On September 25, 2025, Mr. Bahruz Bahramov, Deputy CEO of the State Oil Fund of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ), held a meeting with a delegation from PowerChina Resources Ltd., headed by Mr. Zhong Haixiang, Chairman of the Board.
The discussions focused on investment and cooperation opportunities within the framework of the strategic partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the People’s Republic of China. Special emphasis was placed on the prospects for joint initiatives in the fields of renewable energy and infrastructure development.
Mr. Zhong Haixiang outlined the international expertise of PowerChina Resources Ltd. and provided an overview of the company’s ongoing projects in Azerbaijan. He emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting the country’s green energy agenda.
Mr.Bahruz Bahramov underlined that SOFAZ attaches great importance to expanding strategic cooperation with international partners and is open to evaluating collaboration opportunities that align with the Fund’s investment strategy and risk-return profile, particularly those that support the global energy transition.
