As part of the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2025, unique moments unfolded in the Chill Zone located in the Paddock area. Alpine drivers Franco Colapinto and Pierre Gasly, together with Red Bull’s Yuki Tsunoda, tried their hand at preparing one of the most beloved dishes of Azerbaijani cuisine — qutab.
During the special session, guests not only tasted the dish but also enjoyed watching the drivers go through the cooking process. Colapinto took the task very seriously, carefully preparing the qutabs and celebrating his success with visible excitement. Gasly, on the other hand, brought humor to the event — although his qutab turned out far from the traditional shape, he jokingly remarked: “Who said qutab has to be round?”
In the end, the drivers treated their colleagues and guests with the qutabs they had prepared. According to Argentine journalist Juan Fossaroli, the dish turned out even tastier than expected, while videos of the event quickly spread on social media, attracting wide interest.
