Baku State University (BSU) hosted a qualifying exam for the XVIII International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics, conducted among the winners of the 5th Azerbaijan Astronomy Olympiad.
The exam was based on topics covered during preparatory classes that have been held since April by experts from BSU and the Republican Center for Child and Youth Development.
Based on the exam results, a five-member team has been selected to represent Azerbaijan at the XVIII International Olympiad in Astronomy and Astrophysics, scheduled to take place in India from August 11 to 21. Theoretical and practical training for the selected students will continue until the competition.
