The Azerbaijan National Antidoping Agency (AMADA) conducted an educational seminar for young athletes from the national Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling teams, focusing on key anti-doping topics.
During the session, athletes received comprehensive information on anti-doping rule violations, the doping control process, athletes’ rights and responsibilities, therapeutic use exemptions (TUEs), the consequences of using prohibited substances, applicable sanctions, the Prohibited List, whereabouts requirements, and the ADAMS system.
Held in an interactive format, the seminar provided a platform for participants to engage actively, with their questions addressed throughout the session.
Beyond fostering the physical and ethical development of young athletes, the seminar aimed to reinforce the principles of fair play in sport. Emphasis was placed on the importance of adhering to anti-doping rules and equipping athletes with the knowledge and skills necessary to make informed and responsible decisions.
