Nadir Ismayilov, Head of the Department at the Faculty of Information and Document Management, Baku State University (BSU), conducted a Workshop on “Bibliographic Studies: Structure and Components” at the Faculty of History and Philology of Nakhchivan State University (NSU).
Arif Agalarov, Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology at NSU, spoke about the ongoing cooperation between NSU and BSU. He emphasized the importance of the Workshop in enhancing students' theoretical knowledge in the field and exploring the paradigms related to information and document management.
During his presentation, Nadir Ismayilov focused on the concept of bibliographic studies, discussing its structure, stages, and components. He explained that bibliographic studies serve not only as a tool for cataloguing publications but also as a crucial theoretical and methodological foundation for managing scientific information.
The Workshop also covered various topics, including types of bibliographies, classification systems, industry-specific bibliographic indexes, and abstract and annotated bibliographies. Additionally, Ismayilov highlighted the rules for preparing bibliographic materials and the organization of bibliographic activities in the digital era. He further discussed the impact of modern technologies on bibliographic practices and shared insights into international experiences in the field.
