As part of the “Heydar Aliyev Lectures” project, Baku State University (BSU) hosted a lecture titled “Implementation and Sustainability of Heydar Aliyev’s Ideas in the Modern Era”, delivered by Bakhtiyar Nabiyev, Chairman of the Yasamal District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party.

Opening the event, Ramin Samedov, Head of the Department of Humanitarian Issues and Youth Policy at BSU, spoke about Bakhtiyar Nabiyev’s professional background and emphasized the importance of the “Heydar Aliyev Lectures” project in fostering political awareness and national values among students.

In his lecture, Bakhtiyar Nabiyev highlighted the significant contributions of national leader Heydar Aliyev to the development of Azerbaijan during both the Soviet era and the years of independence. He emphasized that modern, independent Azerbaijan continues to develop in line with Heydar Aliyev’s visionary ideas, which are being successfully upheld by President Ilham Aliyev.

Nabiyev noted that under the leadership of Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s Armed Forces ended the Armenian occupation and reshaped the political landscape of the region. He stressed that this success stems from the strategic foundation laid by Heydar Aliyev and carried forward by his successor.

He also underscored that the national leader’s ultimate aspiration was to build a strong, unified, and sovereign state. The restoration and enhancement of Azerbaijan’s statehood traditions, the consolidation of its independence, and the country’s growing international influence are all rooted in Heydar Aliyev’s leadership and legacy.

Following the lecture, Bakhtiyar Nabiyev answered students’ questions and engaged in a thematic discussion.
