The several initiatives of President Ilham Alıyev as Chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement played a key role in strengthening the solidarity, mutual support and diverse co-operation amongst the Movement's Participants as well as in its institutional growth. Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova said that in her speech at the fourth Conference of the Parliamentary Network of the Non-Aligned Movement in Toshkent.

Addressing the Conference, the Speaker recalled that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Alıyev had emphasised at the 18th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement in Baku in 2019 that the Azerbaijani Presidency would be building up its priorities and activities upon the Bandung Principles, defend fairness and international law standards resolutely and work on continuing the enhancement of the Movement's role and repute.

Sahiba Gafarova also said that the inception of the Parliamentary Network was one of the considerable achievements of the Azerbaijani Presidency of the Non-Aligned Movement.
