Nar, the most affordable mobile operator known for its focus on regional development in Azerbaijan, has established a mobile telecommunications laboratory in the city of Ganja. The lab was created in collaboration with Azerbaijan Technological University (ATU).
This facility will allow ATU students pursuing technical degrees to gain practical experience in mobile communication technologies. The lab is fully equipped with laptops and other essential tools to enhance students' hands-on learning.
During the opening ceremony, Nar’s CEO, Gunnar Pahnke, commented: "This laboratory is another demonstration of Nar’s commitment to supporting the regions. As a forward-thinking company, Nar’s investment in training local telecommunications specialists in the regions is part of our broader contribution to the growth of Azerbaijan’s telecommunications sector".
Associate Professor Yashar Omarov, temporarily acting as Rector of Azerbaijan University of Technology, expressed his appreciation to Nar, stating: "Our university is dedicated to producing true professionals, and Nar’s willingness to share its expertise plays a key role in helping us achieve this goal. Thanks to the support of private companies, our students will graduate as experts in their fields".
It’s worth noting that, in its effort to train local IT specialists, Nar has partnered with both Azerbaijan Technical University in Baku and Azerbaijan Technological University in Ganja. Through this partnership, Nar has established mobile telecommunications laboratories at both universities.
