Baku City Circuit (BCC) is reaffirming its commitment to protecting the environment with the return of the “Green Post” at Turn 19 of the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2024. This initiative, first introduced last year, aims to boost global awareness about environmental conservation through the popularity of motorsport.

The “Green Post” represents our dedication to a greener, more eco-friendly future for motorsport. Marshals at this post will wear specially designed green uniforms made entirely from recycled materials. Plus, all equipment used at the post meets strict environmental standards, reducing plastic use and opting for sustainable alternatives.

This initiative showcases BCC’s role in promoting environmental responsibility within motorsport and aligns with Formula 1’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.

Since 2019, Formula 1 has been working towards a Net Zero Carbon target by 2030, bringing innovation to every host city, and making the sport more inclusive.
