The meeting held with the initiative of the State Commitee on Work with Diaspora in Chicago, began with the National Anthems of Azerbaijan and and the United States and continued with one minute’s silence, as a mark of respect to the dear memory of martyrs, who died for the territorial integrity of our country.

Nargiz Habibova, head of the Midwest Azerbaijani Student Alliance gave detailed information about the purpose of the Alliance, the work being carried out till today, spoke about networking of Azerbaijani students, conveying the truths of Azerbaijan to the western society, cooperation opportunities with members of friendly communities in the US, drew attention to the availability of programs that will help students' development.

The participants were given extensive information about the patriotism of Azerbaijani youth abroad and the projects implemented by the Commitee in this field.

Adam Veber, head of International Programs at Chicago-Kent College of Law, wished success to the organization and expressed his support to Azerbaijani students educated in USA at all times.

One of the founders of the Midwest Azerbaijani Student Alliance, Farid Mammadov gave his recommendations to the students and stated that he would always support them in promoting Azerbaijan.

During the meeting various videos showcasing the work done by the Committee and the diaspora were demonstrated, large-scale projects were also discussed.

The meeting concluded with answering the questions of our compatriots, exchanging ideas about the prospects of better networking of Azerbaijani students in the USA and new initiatives for future activities.
