New appointment to the Azerbaijan Deaflympic Committee

Namig Novruzov has been appointed the General Secretary of the Deaflympic Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Namig Novruzov was born in 1978 in Baku. In different years, after graduating Tumwater High School and completing Centralia College in USA, he studied at Baku State University (Bachelor), Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (Bachelor), National Economy and Public Administration Academy under the President of Russian Federation (Master) and Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (Master). N. Novruzov started to work since 1999 and has served at the different state and private sector positions for more than 25 years (Chief Advisor of the protocol service sector of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Chief of the International Relations Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan). He was member of the following organizations: Governing Board of Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport (EPAS) of the Council of Europe as well as of its Evaluation Group, monitoring compliance of European countries with the European Sports Charter; member of the Consultative Committee on youth and sports policies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC); and represented the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the global sports program of the United Nations. N. Novruzov closely participated in the organization of the Baku 2015 European Games and the Baku 2017 Islamic Solidarity Games, in a CEO assistant capacity.
