On June 10-13, at the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics of the Czech Technical University in Prague, as part of the program "HORIZON-MSCA-2021-SE-01-01 - MSCA Staff Exchanges 2021", the annual report of the "INNMEDSCAN" project was held, dedicated to the development of a new hybrid PET-MRI at based on highly sensitive micropixel photodiodes, the authors and patent holders of which are Azerbaijani scientists. The meeting was attended by team leaders from LUSAFONA University (Prof. Svitlana Lyubchyk), Bolu Abant Izzet Baysal University (Prof. Ercan Yilmaz), Czech Technical University in Prague (Dr. Michael Holik), University of West Bohemia (Dr. Ondrej Urban), Institute of Radiation Problems (Dr. Farid Akhmadov), Department of Nuclear Research of IDDA (Dr. Azer Sadigov), Cascatachuva Lda (Prof. Sergiy Lyubchyk) and project officer Mrs Katarzyna Lyson. The meeting was also attended by leading scientists of the consortium in the field of nuclear detectors and young PhD students. The meeting was opened by the director of the Institute of Experimental and Applied Physics, Professor Ivan Stekl, who presented information about the activities of the institute and successfully implemented projects. Team leaders gave information about the work done for the 1-st year of project implementation. It can be noted that during the reporting period, more than 20 young PhD students and engineers were seconded to the laboratories of the consortium and gained invaluable experience. Additionally, the results of the work were reported on three international conferences, five joint articles were published in peer-reviewed journals, one patent for an invention was acquired, and an agreement was signed between the consortium coordinator and TUBITAK BILGEM on the joint production of the novel photosensors. The project report was highly appreciated by the representative of the European Commission.
