The opening of the “Baku. Love. Spring.” festival took place at the Russian House on April 18.

The festival began with a performance by artist Ulviya Sadikhova. In front of the guests, inspired by the exhibition of works and the atmosphere of the festival, the artist painted her colorful image of spring, using the vivid memories and energy of this beautiful and romantic time of year.

Photographers Valery Bazrukh, Irada Asadova, Aidyn Mehdiyev, Vsevolod Tsurikov, Hikmet Sadikhov, Veronika Grigoryeva, Joshgun Suleymanov, Nurziya Khalilova, Akhmed Khatamzadeh and Rustam Huseynov presented their works dedicated to the festival, united by a common concept - to show together love, spring and warm, romantic and cozy Baku at the most inspiring and blooming time of the year. Each author presented a visual embodiment of his image in the frame.

Famous musician Araz Humbatly (ArazÔzarA) performed several inspired compositions that complemented the atmosphere of the most romantic event of the season. Doctor of Philosophy in art history Alena Inyakina pleased the festival guests with another musical surprise. Her piano performance delighted everyone present.

The idea of the festival originated as a goal to unite talented creative people who are in love with Baku, photography and life itself. The festival takes place in the Russian House, whose panoramic windows look out onto the central avenue and the Government House building. The mesmerizing panorama of magnificent weather and warm spring outside the window gave a special atmospheric ambiance to the festival.

The event took place as part of the Russian House photo club, curated by Vsevolod Tsurikov.
