On 12 May, the WUF13 Festival took place in Sumgayit, bringing together residents and visitors in a continued effort to strengthen public awareness of the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
The event was attended by officials from the Sumgayit City Executive Authority, alongside members of the wider community.
Through a dynamic programme of interactive activities, educational games, presentations and public discussions, audiences were introduced to key themes including sustainable urban development, inclusive urban environments, innovative urban solutions and the cities of the future.
Held at Park Goyarchin and attracting close to 6,500 participants, the interactive programme also featured quiz competitions focused on WUF13 and urban development themes, with prizes presented to participants demonstrating the strongest knowledge and engagement.
