On December 13, at 5:00 PM, the opening of the collective exhibition of carpet artists took place at the AYDANİ Gallery.
The exhibition featured works by 30 artists, reflecting the carpet theme through diverse artistic approaches — from paintings to individual sketches later transformed into woven carpets.
Participants included graduates of the Academy of Fine Arts and the University of Culture, members of the Artists’ Union, and professional carpet masters.
At the opening ceremony, speeches were delivered by Aydan Mammadova, Director of AYDANİ Gallery; Sevil Karimova, the gallery’s curator; and our distinguished guests: Honored Artist, Chairperson of the Nakhchivan Artists’ Union, Member of the Milli Majlis Ulviyya Hamzayeva; Honored Art Worker, carpet scholar and researcher Kubra Aliyeva; art historian and Head of Department at the National Art Museum Asad Guliyev; artist Mazahir Rustamov; artist and member of the Azerbaijan Artists’ Union Gunel Ravilova; and Elvina Huseynova, representative of “Inja Nakhish Art Gallery”.
They highly praised the artistic quality of the exhibited works, congratulated the authors on the collective exhibition, and wished them success in their future creative endeavors.
The exhibition was photographed by two professional photographers, and a report was prepared by Baku TV television channel.
Within the framework of the project, the publication of three articles about the exhibition in three languages is planned.
