As part of the preparations for the Formula 1 Qatar Airways Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2025, a new training session focused on fire protection and rescue was conducted at the Academy of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).

Organized by the Main Operational Department of the MES and the Baku City Circuit (BCC) Operations Company, the main goal of the training was to enhance the skills and experience of specialized marshals in effectively preventing and swiftly responding to fire incidents that may occur during the race.

Nearly 200 marshals participated in the training, including 60 professional firefighters and rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations.

During the theoretical part of the training, participants were given presentations by the Baku City Circuit’s firefighting marshals team aimed at strengthening their skills in fire safety, prevention of potential incidents, and the coordination of rescue operations.

In the practical part, MES’s professional firefighters and rescuers provided live demonstrations on the use of specialized equipment and techniques for fire safety and rescue operations.

This marks the third such training held since July this year, with additional sessions planned in the coming months.

It is worth noting that the next Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix will be held in Baku from September 19 to 21, 2025. During the race weekend, over 30 specialized equipment and approximately 400 personnel from the Ministry of Emergency Situations are expected to be deployed.
