Azerbaijan has marked a new milestone in the history of its national sports by hosting the Caspian Junior Cup 2026, the country's first-ever international junior golf tournament. The event took place at The National Azerbaijan Golf Club, bringing together some of the most talented young golfers from the national golf federations of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.
The tournament featured promising junior athletes, many of whom are expected to represent their countries at the highest levels of international competition, including Olympic golf, in the years ahead.
The project was organized by Quba Palace Hotel and The National Azerbaijan Golf Club. The tournament served as the grand finale of a ten-day International Junior Golf Camp held in Azerbaijan. Throughout the camp, young athletes trained together, exchanged experience, refined their skills under the guidance of the head coaches of the participating national federations, and strengthened friendships and sporting ties among their teams.
The event was further distinguished by the presence of high-ranking official guests. Representatives of the diplomatic corps, including the ambassadors of the participating countries, attended the awards ceremony and personally presented medals and trophies to the young champions. Members of parliament, government officials, media representatives, prominent bloggers, and influencers also took part in the event.
The primary mission of the Caspian Junior Cup is to promote junior golf, strengthen international sporting cooperation, and position Azerbaijan as an emerging hub for international golf. The initiative aims to establish a long-term platform for communication, knowledge exchange, and the development of the next generation of athletes by bringing nations together through sport, friendship, and shared values.
