Today, the opening ceremony of the project titled "Support to Enhancement of Operational Capabilities and Implementation of the Green Port Concept of the Port of Baku” to be implemented by the Port of Baku and the European Union (EU) was held. The main goal of the project is to support the strengthening of the operational system of the Port of Baku, which plays a key role in strengthening regional connectivity and sustainable development. The project is also aimed at promoting the Green Port concept along the regional corridors, stimulating trade and investment activities, as well as creating institutional mechanisms for the transformation of the training center of the Port into a regional educational center.

At the opening ceremony of the project, the Deputies of the Minister of Digital Development and Transport, the Minister of Economy, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, the heads of Investment Holding and other government institutions, the Ambassador of the European Union to Azerbaijan Peter Michalko, as well as the ambassadors of more than 20 European countries to Azerbaijan, participated and spoke about the project emphasizing its importance for the country as well as the region.
