Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Psychology at Baku State University (BSU) will, for the first time, admit students to seven new master's degree specializations: Philosophy of Science, Applied Psychology, History of the Philosophical Thought of Turkic Peoples, Theory and History of Ethics, Clinical Social Work, Social Work with Diverse Population Groups, and Organization and Planning of the Educational Process.

The Philosophy of Science specialization focuses on the study of the structure of scientific knowledge, the methodology of science, philosophical approaches to scientific inquiry, and the development of critical thinking skills.

Within the Applied Psychology specialization, master's students will acquire up-to-date theoretical knowledge and practical skills in psychological assessment, counseling, the analysis of human behavior and emotional states, as well as methods of psychological intervention and personal development.

The History of the Philosophical Thought of Turkic Peoples specialization offers an in-depth study of the intellectual heritage of the Turkic world, the major stages in the development of philosophical thought, intercultural relations, and methods of comparative philosophical analysis.

The Theory and History of Ethics specialization provides students with comprehensive knowledge of the moral foundations of human behavior, the evolution of ethical theories, ethical decision-making processes, and the application of ethical principles in professional and public life.

The Organization and Planning of the Educational Process specialization is designed to prepare specialists in the design, planning, and management of modern educational processes.

The Clinical Social Work specialization trains professionals capable of providing comprehensive support to individuals, families, and social groups facing complex life circumstances.

The Social Work with Diverse Population Groups specialization prepares specialists for the social protection system who will be qualified to work with various population groups in social service institutions, the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population, the DOST Agency, and other relevant organizations.
