Baku State University (BSU) climbed 189 places in the 2026 Round University Ranking (RUR), maintaining its position as the leading higher education institution in Azerbaijan. The university now ranks 636th globally, marking a significant improvement from its 825th-place ranking last year.
The Round University Ranking (RUR) is an international university ranking system that evaluates the performance of higher education institutions worldwide based on 20 key indicators. The ranking assesses universities across four strategic areas: teaching (40%), research (40%), internationalization (10%), and financial sustainability (10%).
