Students of the Computer Science major within the SABAH groups at Baku State University (BSU) — Samir Habibov, Gulchin Etlerova, and Saida Ismayilova — secured second place in the Spark Student Innovation Program.

A total of 140 teams applied to participate in the program. Following the selection stage, only nine teams advanced to the final round. The project “AEVIC Esports,” presented by the BSU students, received high recognition from the jury and was awarded second place in the competition.

AEVIC Esports aims to unify the esports ecosystem through a single platform, becoming one of the first multifunctional esports platforms developed in Azerbaijan. The project is designed to strengthen collaboration among players, teams, organizers, and partners, while creating new opportunities for youth development and career growth.

The team’s future plans include organizing tournaments, supporting player development, managing teams, identifying emerging talent, and contributing to the growth of the esports industry in Azerbaijan.
