At the initiative of the Ministry of Justice, an information session titled “Career Opportunities in Justice Agencies” was held for students and graduates at Baku State University.
Speaking at the event, BSU Rector Alish Agamirzayev stated that such initiatives make a significant contribution to helping students and graduates acquire competencies that meet labor market demands and strengthen their competitiveness. He emphasized that students’ close familiarity with government institutions, recruitment procedures, practical mechanisms, and career opportunities positively influences their professional development.
The rector also highlighted the successful implementation of the cooperation agreement and Activity Plan between BSU and the Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice, noting that university students actively participate as volunteers in the Service’s areas of activity.
Head of the Probation Service Vugar Agayev delivered a detailed presentation on the main areas of the probation system’s work. He noted that the primary goal of the Probation Service is not only to exercise supervision, but also to support individuals’ social adaptation and facilitate their reintegration into society. He also emphasized the important role of social workers and psychologists in the probation process.
In his speech, Jahangir Hajiyev stated that the Ministry of Justice places particular importance on the development of human capital. He provided students and graduates with detailed information about career opportunities in the civil service, recruitment procedures, stages of professional development, and the skills required for professional activity.
Deputy Head of the Enforcement Service Yagub Gurbanov spoke about recent legislative changes. He noted that the enforcement of court decisions is an important component of the legal system and that a number of reforms have been implemented in this field. Whereas previously only law graduates could apply to the Enforcement Service, graduates from all faculties are now eligible. He also stressed that digitalization and automation are creating conditions for more flexible and transparent enforcement mechanisms.
Chairman of the Public Association “Volunteers of Justice” Javad Javadli provided students and graduates with detailed information about volunteer programs. He noted that volunteering plays an important role in the professional development of young people by giving them the opportunity to gain real workplace experience, receive mentorship support, develop personal growth plans, and participate in various projects.
At the end of the event, students and graduates had their questions answered and took part in discussions.
