Another meeting within the “In the Footsteps of a Graduate” project was held at Baku State University (BSU). The guest of the event was Katana Gafarova, a PhD candidate in political science and lecturer at BSU’s Department of Far Eastern Languages.

The university graduate spoke about her professional journey, student years, and the challenges she faced on her path to success. She also shared insights into the in-depth study of the Chinese language, adaptation to a different educational environment, and the role of international experience in personal and professional development.

Addressing the students, Katana Gafarova noted that perseverance and tolerance are among the key qualities leading to success. She emphasized the importance of maintaining a global outlook while preserving national identity, adding that international experience plays a significant role in shaping a person’s worldview.
