The final stage of the VI Azerbaijan Astronomy Olympiad will take place on May 16. The Baku round will be hosted at Baku State University, while the Nakhchivan round will be held at School No. 7. Students who scored 65 points or higher in the national round have qualified for the final.
Winners will take part in a special training program ahead of the XIX International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics, scheduled for September 25 – October 5 in Hanoi. The program will be delivered by experts from BSU and the Republican Center for Children and Youth Development.
In addition, selected team members will attend a summer camp at the Shamakhi Astrophysical Observatory named after N. Tusi, where they will receive practical training, including telescope use, organized by the Amateur Astronomers Society.
