Head of the Electronic Security Service at the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Farid Zeynalov, delivered a master class at Baku State University (BSU) on “Multi-Layered Security Architecture.”
Dean of the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics, Aleksper Aliyev, highlighted the growing importance of information security for society, the state, and educational institutions, noting that such events enhance students’ awareness of modern risks. Head of the faculty’s Cyber Club, Natig Guliyev, also emphasized the importance of developing students’ practical cybersecurity skills.
During the session, Farid Zeynalov explained that multi-layered security architecture is essential for protecting digital systems and data, stressing that modern cyber threats are best addressed through integrated, complementary layers of protection. He outlined key principles, including least privilege, defense in depth, and secure-by-default settings, as well as core components such as network, application, endpoint, and information security.
