Pursuant to the annual action plan approved by the Minister of Defense, a series of events dedicated to the Novruz and Ramadan holidays were held across the types of troops of the Azerbaijan Army, including Combined Arms Army, army corps, formations, and special military educational institutions.
Events commenced with a tribute to the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Congratulatory messages by the Head of State and the Minister of Defense were conveyed to the personnel, with the aim of promoting national and moral values and further strengthening the spirit of patriotism.
Speakers at the festive events highlighted that the arrival of spring are celebrated in the country with joy, enthusiasm, and great solemnity. They also addressed the historical background of the Novruz and Ramadan traditions, emphasizing the people’s strong attachment to their historical customs and observance at the state level.
It was noted that the participation of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Ilham Aliyev and the First Vice-President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva in the celebrations alongside the people, as well as his congratulatory message to the nation on the occasion of the holidays, has also been a source of morale for the personnel of the Azerbaijan Army.
Concert programs were presented within the events by creative teams from the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov and the Ganja Garrison Ideological and Cultural Center. Distinguished servicemembers who excelled in their duties were also awarded.
Additionally, during the holidays, personnel visited the graves of the Martyrs, servicemen also paid visits to the families of the Martyrs, enquired about their needs and concerns, and presented them with holiday gifts.
The meetings emphasized that the Azerbaijani state always pays tribute to the memory of Martyrs, and supports their family members with great attention and care.
