On 3 March 2026, SOCAR President Rovshan Najaf met with Martina Opizzi, Senior Vice President of TotalEnergies, within the framework of the meetings of the Southern Gas Corridor Advisory Council and the Green Energy Advisory Council.
During the meeting, the importance of energy projects implemented at the initiative of Azerbaijan, including the Southern Gas Corridor, for Europe’s energy security was highlighted. The parties reviewed the implementation status of jointly executed projects, including operational results at the Absheron gas-condensate field and progress related to its full-scale development.
The discussions also covered energy security, digitalization, sustainability priorities, and other issues of mutual interest.
