On March 3, the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum will host the opening of the solo exhibition In Love with Beauty by renowned artist Jamila Hashimova. The project presents the artist’s rich artistic world, in which beauty appears as an inner state and the foundation of her aesthetic vision.

The exhibition features nearly 60 works of painting and graphic art. Central motifs in the artist’s oeuvre include female figures in various states, flowers, birds, and natural forms. A luminous palette, soft tonal transitions, and refined attention to line and detail shape the exhibition’s visual poetics.

A special highlight of the project is the carpet The Road, woven in the museum’s Traditional Technology Department based on a work by Jamila Hashimova. The cityscape, houses, and moving human figure depicted in the composition acquire symbolic resonance. Here, traditional weaving techniques harmoniously merge with the artist’s contemporary vision.

Jamila Hashimova has held solo exhibitions in Rome, Paris, Sofia, Brussels, Berlin, and other cultural centers. Her works are preserved in museums and private collections internationally. In Love with Beauty marks another significant cultural event, demonstrating the maturity and consistency of the artist’s distinctive style.

The exhibition will run until March 8.
