A significant new step has been taken in the digitalization of the education sector. The new regulations approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan provide for the issuance of state educational documents in digital format. This decision greatly enhances citizens’ access to their educational documents and contributes to increased efficiency in the management of the education system.

In accordance with the new regulations, diplomas, school-leaving certificates, and other certificates, along with their accompanying documents, at the higher education, secondary specialized, vocational, and general education levels, will be issued digitally, granting them full legal force. This marks the complete digitalization of the issuance process of state educational documents.

Citizens will be able to submit their educational documents through the “MyGov” platform, and these documents will have full legal force. To do so, users should select the “Education” category under the “Services” section to access the relevant information and documents. Additionally, citizens can share their educational data via QR code through the “MyGov” application and download documents in PDF format. The “My Shared Data” section within the app allows users to track when, with whom, and on which platform their educational information has been shared.

It should be noted that to date, as a result of the collaboration between the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA) and the Ministry of Science and Education, a number of educational records have been digitalized and integrated into the “MyGov” platform. Currently, citizens can access diplomas and foreign diploma information, student ID cards, student and graduate status, educational records under the State Program for Studying Abroad and Intergovernmental Scholarship Programs, vocational and general education documents, information on ongoing higher and secondary specialized education, current general education data, as well as examination admission sheets. Efforts are ongoing to gradually expand the scope of documents and information available and to make an even wider range of educational data accessible through the platform.
