The research platform StartupBlink, specializing in the innovation economy, has announced the results of its “2025 StartupBlink Startup Ecosystem Awards” ranking. According to the ranking, Azerbaijan’s innovation ecosystem was awarded the “Greatest Global Progress” award in Central Asia. The country moved up six positions in the latest ranking, achieving the highest score among all Central Asian countries in this category.

The “Greatest Global Progress” award was presented to the Innovation and Digital Development Agency (IDDA), Azerbaijan’s innovation policy operator. According to the StartupBlink report, IDDA’s activities have significantly advanced the country’s innovation infrastructure and startup policies. In addition, the report highlights IDDA’s leadership in innovation and its role in building a sustainable startup ecosystem.

It should be noted that the “StartupBlink Startup Ecosystem Awards” is an annual ranking based on global algorithms developed by the StartupBlink platform. In this year’s ranking, 22 ecosystems were recognized with awards, selected from 18 countries according to 40 assessment criteria.
