The next meeting of the Technical Committee on standardization of Electric Power Engineering and Renewable Energy was held at the Ministry of Energy.
The meeting, chaired by Khalida Masimova, Deputy Head of Administration of the Ministry and Chairman of the Technical Committee, focused on measures being implemented in the field of standardization, as well as the application of normative documents aligned with international best practices in enhancing energy efficiency and energy management.
Final drafts of the following standards were reviewed during the meeting: AZS ISO 50002:2025 – Energy Audits – Requirements with Guidance for Use, AZS ISO 50006:2025 – Energy Management Systems – Evaluating Energy Performance Indicators and Energy Baselines, AZS ISO 50010:2025 - Energy management and energy savings — Guidance for net zero energy in operations using an ISO 50001 energy management system.
The sides exchanged views on the content of the presented standards, application mechanisms and advantages of their use in the field of energy management. It was noted that the application of international ISO standards at the national level will make a significant contribution to improving the quality of energy audits, accurate assessment of energy performance in enterprises and the achievement of energy efficiency goals.
In conclusion, it was decided to revise and finalize the draft standards, taking into account the feedback received, and to submit them for approval.
