Chairman of the Board of AzerGold CJSC, Zakir Ibrahimov held a meeting with the Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Azerbaijan Maksat Mamytkanov.
During the meeting, Mr. Ibrahimov emphasized that the relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan—carriers of a shared Turkic cultural heritage—are founded on the principles of friendship, brotherhood, and mutual respect. He also highlighted the steady development of intergovernmental ties in recent years.
The Chairman provided detailed information on the diversified activity of AzerGold CJSC, the company’s achievements in recent years, and its strategic goals for the coming period. He noted that the company successfully exports precious metals to global markets while strictly adhering to environmental protection principles, and ranks among the leading state-owned enterprises engaged in non-oil export operations. Mr. Ibrahimov further stated that the implementation of mining projects in Central Asian countries is included in the company’s strategic plans and that discussions are already under way regarding potential partnership opportunities.
Ambassador Maksat Mamytkanov congratulated Mr. İbrahimov on the achievements of “AzerGold” and conveyed his country’s interest in partnering with Azerbaijan on the exploration and management of non-ferrous metal deposits. He underlined that Kyrgyzstan possesses significant reserves of iron ore and other non-ferrous metals, adding that joint activities with AzerGold CJSC would be mutually beneficial for both nations.
The sides stressed that future cooperation will contribute to strengthening economic relations and mark a new stage in the extraction and processing of natural resources. The meeting concluded with discussions on mutual investment opportunities and the development of a long-term strategic partnership.
