Today, the Azerbaijan National NGO Forum (AzNNF) organized a public hearing focused on initiatives to enhance several legislative acts pertaining to non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
During the session, AzNNF Board Chairman Ramil Iskandarli emphasized that Azerbaijan's full restoration of its territorial integrity and sovereignty presents new opportunities for the country. He highlighted the need to reflect these developments in legislation governing NGOs. The meeting primarily addressed the Concept of State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Public Participation.
AzNNF also invited representatives from the Center for Legal Expertise and Legislative Initiatives to contribute to the discussion.
The Azerbaijan National NGO Forum intends to submit formal proposals to relevant state institutions based on the issues and suggestions raised during the hearing.
